Points are awarded as follows: 3 points for 1st place; 2 points for 2nd place; 1 point for 3rd place.

Placings for runners level on points will be determined via the countback ruling, whereby the runner with the most wins will be placed higher. If runners are still level on points then this process will be repeated with 2nd places and 3rd places to determine the standings.

If two or more runners are unable to be separated by the countback ruling to identify the season champion, then the overall winner will be determined via a head-to-head Super Race, involving all runners level on points.
